Mrs. Emily Flood To All Instructors
Emily teaches Earth Science at Cornerstone. She's been married to her husband Tobias for 7 years and has 3 little girls. Elayna (4), Edith (2), and Enola (5 mo). She is a former elementary teacher and her husband Tobias owns a machine shop in Winsted.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) from St. Cloud State University in spring of 2019, and taught for 4 years which included two school years in 5th grade, 4th grade, and a math/reading intervention position for 4th and 5th graders.
After having her second girl Edith, she, along with her husband, decided it was time for her to stay home and decided to begin homeschooling their children. During her teaching years, she taught all subjects including various sciences, earth, life, physical science, magnetism, water cycle, energy, and much more.
Their girls are still young, but she and her husband decided they will be homeschooling their children as well, so it has been a joy for her to get to know other homeschool families in the community.
The first year of Cornerstone she spent volunteering with the kindergarten class, and last school year she spent time with Junior High/High School students teaching Pre-Algebra and Algebra 1. She is excited to be returning to her specialty, teaching upper elementary, and looks forward to getting to know your family this year!
