Mrs. Emily Flood To All Instructors
Emily teaches advanced Math classes at Cornerstone. She has been married to her husband Tobias for 6 years, and has 2 little girls: Elayna (3) and Edith (1). She is a former elementary teacher and her husband Tobias owns a machine shop in Winsted.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education (K-6) from St. Cloud State University in spring of 2019, and taught for 4 years which included two school years in 5th grade, 4th grade, and a math/reading intervention position for 4th and 5th graders.
After having her second girl Edith, she, along with her husband, decided it was time for her to stay home and decided to begin homeschooling their children. She has found joy getting to know other homeschool families in the community and has also spent time in the past school year volunteering with the kindergarten class at Cornerstone Christian Academy – what fun that has been!
Though she became an elementary teacher, she originally had dreamed about being a high school math teacher, specifically algebra. Oh, how God knew the desires of her heart! Though she does not have a degree teaching algebra, it has always been her favorite subject, and is very excited to help your child love learning and hopefully love math as much as she does!
